Katie Farinas

Katie is a mom, seasoned nurse, a yoga teacher, host of the podcast, Mom On The Verge and Dharma (soul purpose) Coach. Katie has been passionate about all thing’s health and wellness from a young age. However, after battling postpartum depression after the birth of her first child, becoming a chronic migraine sufferer in her mid 30’s, and parenting a teenager with significant mental and physical health struggles, she was forced to examine the impact our mental health has on our physical health and how intimately those two things are connected. Taking a deep dive into the mind body connection Katie became a certified yoga teacher, a meditation facilitator and a warrior for improving mental health. 

In the process she realized how unfulfilled, numb, tired, off purpose and out of alignment she had felt for years and how that was impacting her health. It took a lot of soul searching, and a lot of mind body work, but she discovered her Dharma, or her soul’s purpose for this lifetime. It was then that she realized she had been suffering from low level depression for years and moving into purpose was the only way out. Building a life and a business helping others discover their dharma, using the same methods she had used, has helped Katie fulfill her mission of making the world a more compassionate and loving place, where women feel empowered to step into their gifts, say goodbye to societal expectations and create a life they love.

Katie believes in the power of authentically, sharing our truth to help heal ourselves and others, the importance of community and how love and compassion can spread outward like ripples in a pond to create a kinder, safer and more equitable world. In her free time Katie enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, traveling, cooking, hanging with her kids, dog and husband and reading all things spiritual.
